The 2020 Annual Partner Meeting of Tahota was successfully held on January 24, 2021. Partners from global offices of Tahota gathered in the "cloud conference system" to discuss the development plan offline + online and set the orientation for the future. Partners discussed a number of important topics according to the meeting agenda.

Guangzhou is one of first batch of open coastal cities, the central city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone, and the hub city of the Belt and Road. The establishment of a branch in Guangzhou, Guangdong was officially approved in the meeting. So far, Tahota has completed its strategic layout in two cities of one province for the first time. The new Tahota Guangzhou office will cooperate with Tahota Shenzhen office and Hong Kong office to further explore the huge legal service market behind the rise of the “Greater Bay Area”, making positive contributions to the development of judicial system in the “Greater Bay Area”.

In addition, the establishment of a branch in Fuzhou, Fujian was also officially approved in the meeting. Located between the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, Fuzhou faces Taiwan, is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, connects the inland economic hinterland, and is closely tied with Southeast Asia. The establishment of Fuzhou office will provide a strong impetus for Tahota to further strengthen its linkage with legal services in East China, marking an important step for Tahota in deepening and advancing its strategic development layout.

2020 is the final year of the “First Five-Year Strategic Plan (2015-2020)” of Tahota, in which the relevant development goals have been achieved ahead of schedule or basically achieved. Therefore, the “Second Five-Year Strategic Plan (2021-2025)” of Tahota was officially passed in the meeting. The “Second Five-Year Strategic Plan (2021-2025)” is an important period for sustained and rapid development of Tahota. We are committed to build a law firm with efficient cross-domain collaboration, leading in multi-core business, and in-depth service to clients, provide more valuable services to global customers and make due contributions to the process of developing law-based governance in China.

Further, partners thoroughly discussed the matters such as firm's brand management, branch management and amendments to the Articles of Association, amendments to case management system, sorting of legal documents and legal product inventories at the meeting, and conformed the implementation plan in order to further promote the transformation and upgrading of management.
