From December 8 to 11, 2025, Cheng Shoutai, Vice President of the All China Lawyers Association, led a delegation on an exchange visit to Vietnam. The delegation paid courtesy calls on the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam, the Vietnam Lawyers Association, the Vietnam International Arbitration Center and Hanoi Law University, where they held symposiums and exchanges; it also paid visits to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam and the China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and co-hosted a special event for connecting Chinese enterprises with Vietnamese counterparts; in addition, the delegation conducted on-site research on overseas branches of Chinese law firms and local Vietnamese law firms.

During the visit to Vietnam, Cheng Shoutai briefed the participants on the development of China’s legal profession and the outcomes of foreign-related legal services. He emphasized that this visit aimed to implement the outcomes of the first border meeting between the judicial and administrative departments of China and Vietnam, and further deepen the practical cooperation in legal services between the two countries.

Currently, a growing number of Chinese enterprises and investments are entering the Vietnamese market, and the economic and trade relations between the two sides are thriving, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. The All China Lawyers Association is willing to join hands with Vietnamese counterparts in the legal services sector to promote China-Vietnam economic, trade and cultural exchanges, facilitate experience sharing and information dissemination, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of legal services in both countries, and contribute to the steady and long-term development of the China-Vietnam Community with a Shared Future.

All Vietnamese parties extended a warm welcome to the delegation. They also fully recognized the rapid development of China's legal profession, noting huge potential for cooperation between the legal service sectors of the two countries, and expressed their willingness to carry out cooperation with China in exchange visits, personnel training, information sharing and other fields. The two sides also reached extensive consensus on establishing communication mechanisms, sharing legislative experience, and cooperating in arbitration services.
