On April 16, 2024, Director Aloysius Wee and Partner Mark Cham Shan Jie, along with other lawyers from Aquinas Law in Singapore, visited Tahota Law Firm. This visit not only signifies friendly interaction between two firms in the legal field but also marks an important step for the two parties to seek further cooperation and development in the future.

During this visit, Lawyer Cheng Shoutai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief Partner of Tahota Law Firm engaged in in-depth discussions with Lawyer Aloysius Wee on the increasingly close legal cooperation between China and Singapore under the backdrop of global economic integration. They proffered a shared vision of enhanced collaboration in the future, with the objective of promoting the shared prosperity and development of the Chinese and Singaporean economies.

The delegation led by Lawyer Aloysius Wee visited the newly constructed office building of Tahota located in the Tianfu New Area and gave high praise to Tahota’s office facilities and environment.

During their visit, lawyers from Aquinas Law also engaged in in-depth discussions with Lawyer Zhang Tianyi, Director of Tahota Vientiane Office, and Lawyer Zhang Kaixiang, a partner of Tahota Law Firm, on cross-regional cooperation between Tahota and Aquinas Law.

The visit by Aquinas Law from Singapore is a testament to Tahota’s standing as an international law firm and an indication of the potential for future collaboration between the two parties. Such exchanges and cooperation permit the sharing of resources and experiences between the two parties, which in turn facilitates the enhancement of service quality and the expansion of scope of services. As previously stated in the Legal Environment Report of the “Belt and Road” Countries, fostering international collaboration among bar associations represents a pivotal strategy for attaining mutually beneficial development outcomes. The exchange between Tahota and Aquinas Law is predicated on this principle, with the objective of providing clients with more comprehensive and professional legal services.

As a large, comprehensive law firm that covers China with a global reach, Tahota continues to provide top-notch legal services right here at home while also expanding its international service capabilities and brand influence.
