On August 17, 2023, Mr. Naveed Hayat Malik, President of the Bar Association of the Supreme Court of Islamabad, Pakistan, in the company of Dr. Liu Xuelian, visited the Urumqi office of Tahotai Law Firm. Bai Li, Executive Director, Wang Xiaofeng, Senior Consultant, as well as the partner lawyers including Hu Yahong, Liu Guanzhang, Li Qijiang, Xie Peng, Zhang Mingyan, Duan Ruiqi and some young lawyers from the Urumqi office attended the discussion.

Mr. Naveed Hayat Malik expressed his gratitude for the kind invitation of the Urumqi office and praised its development and business outcomes during his visit through introduction from other persons. Then, two sides pointedly exchanged and shared specific business cases, he introduced classification and business development of Pakistani lawyers, etc. In his introduction, Pakistani lawyers are classified according to the level of the court where they can appear, and every lawyer is required to start practicing from the lowest level of the trial lawyer, and then applies for the trial lawyer of the superior court step by step according to the assessment standards. In addition, the development of lawyering business is relatively specific, and lawyers also file lawsuits in different courts for different types of cases, such as civil , criminal , administrative and economic cases. Finally, he welcomed Tahotai Law Firm to provide legal services in investment and construction in Pakistan in the future, and hoped to pave the way for the development of the "Belt and Road Initiative" through joint efforts of lawyers of the two countries.
