2018-06-23 Views:2653

On June 21, 2018, Mr. Zhang Bo, managing director and director of Standard Chartered Bank (China) in north China, Mr. Qiu Jiajing, director in central and western regions, and some other staff visited Tahota Chengdu office, and had in-depth communication and exchanges on the new trends, features and ways of western enterprises’ “going out” and “bringing in” under the background of “One Belt and One Road” and “Opening up” with Tahota lawyers from international business department. Lawyer Cheng Shoutai, Tahota chief partner, lawyer Yang Pengfei, a partner, lawyer Yang Yue and lawyer Zhang Hongxia from international business department received Mr. Zhang Bo and his partners warmly.

During the meeting, lawyer Cheng Shoutai introduced practice areas, department settings, lawyer teams and development planning of Tahota in details to Mr. Zhang Bo and his partners. He also had an in-depth analysis, with combination of national policies and development trends, of enterprises’ sufferings and difficulties in “going out” and “bringing in” under the background of “One Belt and One Road” and “Opening up”. Lawyer Cheng Shoutai stressed that Sichuan is an international gateway hub in the west and an important pivot for cooperation in the south, so enterprises begin to “go out” and overseas investment, financing, mergers and acquisitions become more and more common. He also stressed that investment fields and projects have shifted from traditional infrastructure construction to high-tech industries and that the demand for overseas financing and overseas listing is increasingly urgent. However, “law + finance”, a comprehensive, one-stop and zero-gap service package, has relieved enterprises’ sufferings and difficulties in the process of “going out” and met a series of requirements of enterprises in terms of structure build, financing at home and abroad, and project implementation.

Mr. Zhang Bo said that the development prospect of western regions, especially Chengdu, is great. Their development scale and speed are growing fast. Driven by the new economy, unicorns with high technology, high added value and high growth rate will be one of the driving forces to promote sustained economic development. Relying on the professional services of Tahota Law Firm and worldwide network resources of Standard Chartered Bank, we can provide one-stop services and guarantee for enterprises.

Then, the two sides had a comprehensive discussion on such matters as cooperation direction, cooperation areas and measures for foreign exchange facilitation in Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone in the future. The two sides claimed that problems and risks for enterprises in China in the process of "going out" and "bringing in" would be further studied and analyzed, and that accurate, comprehensive and one-stop solutions would be provided according to enterprises’ actual needs.
