Tahota’s Cases Elected as the 5th Typical Cases of the Belt and Road Legal Service

On November 12, 2023, the 5th Typical Case Conference for “Belt and Road” Legal Service, sponsored by Legal Daily, legaldaily.com and Legal Daily Culture & Media (Beijing) Co., Ltd., was held in Beijing Kuntai Hotel. The Supreme People's Court, China Law Society, BRILA, relevant leaders of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and many well-known experts and scholars presented the conference. Lawyer Cheng Shoutai, the Chief Partner of Tahota Lawyer Firm, and the partners Xu Lijun, Zhang Tianyi, Liao Huaixue and Li Shuang were invited to attend this event.


In the selection of typical cases, the special legal services of the Medium and Long-term Cross-border Syndicated Loan Project of Vientiane-Vang Vieng High-speed Railway in Laos, undertaken by lawyer Zhang Tianyi, was honored as a typical case of the “Belt and Road” Investment Legal Service; the typical legal service of cross-border network data security protection for a well-known international technical company, undertaken by the Lawyer Liao Huaixue, was honored as the typical case of “Belt and Road” Compliance Legal Service; and the legal service of getting the marketing license in Pakistan for Lianhua Qingwen Capsule by the Lawyer Tang Yunxia was honored as a typical case of the “Belt and Road” Legal Service Innovation.


During the round table conversation of the conference, Lawyer Cheng Shoutai shared the topic of “how to provide high-quality legal service for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road” with the managing partners from different well-known law firms and institutional leaders.


The year 2023 will mark the 10th anniversary of the General Secretary Xi Jinping's major initiatives to build the “Belt and Road”. The General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly pointed out that “promoting the construction of the ‘Belt and Road’ requires the safeguard of the rule of law.” For this, Tahota, as a leading large-scale comprehensive law firm, will continue to explore the internationalization and make more contribution to the construction of the “Belt and Road”, contributing to the expansion of foreign-related legal services for Chinese lawyers and the building of foreign-related legal service brands!
