As the core area of the "Belt and Road" Initiative and China's gateway to the west, Xinjiang is writing a new chapter in legal services with its unique geographical advantages. On November 29, 2025, the 3rd Tahota "Belt and Road" Legal Service Innovation and Development Forum 2025 was successfully held at the Hilton Urumqi Hotel. The forum was co-hosted by the Urumqi Lawyers Association, Tahota "Belt and Road" Legal Service Center, and Tahota Central Asia Legal Research Institute; co-organized by the Kashgar Branch of Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration, the School of Politics and Law of Xinjiang Normal University, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Foreign Economic and Trade Association; and jointly undertaken by Tahota (Urumqi) Law Firm and Tahota Law Firm (Almaty) Office.

Charles Feng represented the AmCham China at the thematic dialogue and exchange session hosted by the CNIPA
On July 7, 2025, Charles Feng, a partner at our firm, the Director of the International Business Department and Head of the Digital Economy Law Center of Tahota, attended a thematic dialogue session between the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China) as a representative of AmCham China. The meeting focused on key intellectual property issues, aiming to strengthen communication and exchange between regulatory authorities and foreign-invested enterprises operating in China. AmCham China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization representing nearly 1,000 foreign-invested enterprises conducting business in China. Its mission is to promote international trade and economic cooperation through policy advocacy, information sharing, and professional services.
